A "Port style" Dessert wine.  This wine will hit your taste buds like a cannon!
Recent Double Gold from Appelation America Following is their evaluation:
If you buy only one wine from Iowa in your lifetime, make it this one. The nose is packed with fruitcake, herb, vanilla, honeydew, fig, prune, dried apple. In fact, the nose is so complex, there is almost nothing you cannot find here. A very credible Port with lots of butterscotch and rancio
character in the finish, which is minerally as (I would have said) only the Upper Douro can be. Wonderful.? - Clark Smith Appelation America, Napa CA
